A MESSAGE FROM YOUR PRINCIPAL

WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER “A+” RED CARPET SCHOOL YEAR, CELEBRATING A NEW YEAR OF LEARNING!!!!!!! Congratulations and much gratitude to our students, teachers, parents and staff members for their dedication and commitment in attaining the Grade A Recognition Award, the 5 Star Award, and the Golden School Award. Congratulations to a Grade “A” Team.

Now we are off to a great start towards another year of academic achievement. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your help, support, and patience during a very smooth opening of the school year. It is good to have the children back and to see their enthusiasm for the new year.

Safety is our main concern when your children are at William Lehman Elementary. I have a special request in asking that you help make our dismissal pick-up procedures safe and efficient by:

1. Following the directions of our staff members as you drive through the traffic pattern.

2. Please wait until a staff member motions you to move forward.

3. Children are not permitted to cross the driveway to get to the cars.

4. Please pull up next to the curb to pick up your child.

Please be extra patient with the traffic pattern and remember not to block the neighbors’ driveways. Special thanks to Ms. Tamargo, Mrs. Garcia, Mr. Chickillo and all teachers for making sure we have a smooth dismissal everyday.

I would also like to remind you of the importance of school attendance. Though improvements were made during the last school year, we are planning to exceed it this school year. I want to stress that the ability of children to understand new concepts and achievements are directly related to good attendance. We really appreciate all your efforts in making sure they are in school every day and on time.
